The 59th International Art Exhibition will take place from 23 April to 27 November 2022 (pre-opening on 20, 21 and 22 April) and will be curated by Cecilia Alemani. “As the first Italian woman in this position, I want to give a voice to artists so that they create unique projects that reflect their visions and our society,” explained Alemani.
Although the events of the last few months have produced a torn, fractured world, The Milk of Dreams exhibition seeks to present other forms of coexistence and transformation. Despite the climate that has shaped it, it aims to be an optimistic exhibition that celebrates art and its ability to create alternative cosmologies and new conditions of existence. It asks artists not to show who we are, but to address the concerns and anxieties of this time and show us who and what we can become.
